Punishment

After attending and participating in yesterday's charasmatic prayer session, something struck me.

Well, we watched a video about breaking/healing the bondage of sin that is committed by our ancestors or our family tree.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, yes, such things do happen. The sins that you committed in your life, your descendents will have to pay the price for your sins. Yes, you might argue that if we truly repent, God will forgive us as he is merciful and loving. However, while God do forgive our sins, the effects of our actions will not be removed unless we do something about it.

To support my above statement, let's take Adam and Eve for example. Because of their disobedience to God by eating the apple, they have to be punished for their disobedience. However, God is merciful and loving, he forgives them, however, who took the punishment for them? Jesus is the one who removed the original sin commited by our first parents and so we are freed.

Personally, I do have an individual account of the bondages of sin committed by my ancestors. While along my line, (as it is not right to say who committed the sin), someone along my family line actually pracitised witchcraft, and meddle with evil spirits, the sin of adultery, however, I could sense that this sin of practising witchcraft, meddling with evil spirits, adultery has an effect on me, on our family. However, thank God for my mother, who suffered lots because of these sin committed along my family side. I personally, suffered a little, but it's too little as compared to the sufferings my mum suffered. I suffered minor punishment, (it's too minor that it cant be seen, but then, after thinking for a little while, I do suffer a little) but my mum suffered the worst blow.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, remember, the effect of our sins committed in our life time will affect our descendents. Remember, although God forgives our sins, the effect will not be removed, unless we do something about it. For example, those broken families, or families that was once broken, the descendants will have to suffer for what you have done. The curse will only be broken through pious prayers, and someone in the family suffering from the effects of your actions. The key thing to do is to pray for your family. Only God can lift the curse that your ancestors have created with some suffering.
